Did you know?
While we do not use the original Babylonian calendar today, our division of the day into 24 hours, or 24 x 60 = 1440 minutes, and 24 x 60 x 60 = 86,400 seconds, comes from Babylonia. The Babylonians employed a positional notation that is similar to the modern decimal system, but their notation was sexagesimal ie based on powers of 60 instead of 10. Remnants of this system are still in use to this day: the circle is divided into 360 degrees, a degree into 60 minutes, and a minute into 60 seconds.

I've got the job!   Print
Written by Aaron Brigatti

Wow!

I've heard that I've been successful in getting the Project Analyst 1 position - amazing!!

This brings a lot of security for me in that at least I don't need to worry about trying to get a job at the end of the 2 yr Masters IT graduate programme - although I only spent 15mths out of the 24mth programme, I still believe I had learnt enough and gained the level of experienced required to start looking for internal positions - and this decision paid off!

Pay is pretty good (anything more than what I am getting now is a good!!) - and the role seems varied and flexible.

Truly grateful that the team will allow me to continue my MSc so at least this part is not wasted - and they will match the 30hrs/wk work time which is also a bonus!!
