Although advertising is essentially a twentieth-century development, the first formal advertisement in Canada took place much earlier. This first advertisement was an offer of butter for sale that appeared in 1752 in an official government publication, The Halifax Gazette.

Well, as France managed to storm their way through their Semi's match against Portugal, this set-ups a Italy-France final of the 2006 World Cup.  Italy desperate for a win are in good shape to bring on the celebrations, but France having won in 1998 are also aiming high for this almighty clash!

Italy had a shock start to the game, conceded a questionable penalty to France, where Zidane scored from the sport.  Italy put the pressure on France, and managed to hold tight and equalise from a fabulous corner kick after 18minutes.  The game then was tied through the rest of the first-half.  Italy started to struggle in the second-half, and started to give France the chance to break the back-4 of the Italian defence.  But the Italian defence held-strong and it was 1-1 after Full-Time.  Extra-Time didn't present anything amazing, although Zidana was sent-off the field with a crazy head-butt into the chest of Materazzi!  Down to 10 men, Italy really didn't take advantage, and so penalties beckened!!

Italy started and ended the penalty shoot-out with all 5 of the penalties going into the back of the net.  Trezeguet was the French player who missed!  Italy won 5-3 on penalties and lifted the cup truimphantly!!!  Well-done team, you've done it!!
