Did you know?
The average rate of motion across the San Andreas Fault Zone during the past 3 million years is 56 mm/yr (2 in/yr). This is about the same rate at which your fingernails grow. Assuming this rate continues, scientists project that Los Angeles and San Francisco will be adjacent to one another in approximately 15 million years.

Well, I am really in a flux at the moment...I have a crush on someone at work - unfortunately, she works in the same team (yes extremely dangerous, I know!). I am finding that she is quite attractive - and I just can't keep my eyes off her.

My head is telling that things won't work out!! She is after all older (early 30's, I think!) and wiser!

My heart is telling me just to go with it!

Very dangerous feelings and position, although I guess there are always a way around this! We will see how things pad out, depending on whether I see myself going career-wise - e.g. whether I change roles? Does work relationships ever work, who knows?

I guess the easiest way to "test the waters" is fine out more about her, and then see whether it is actually something that would progress or not. Might not (and probably) won't even get anywhere with this! She probably doesn't even feel the same way, and I just have to "move on"!

Anyway, c'est la vie hey?

My Feelings Towards Her
Written by abrigatti on 2007-01-30 18:31:14
The irony is I actually felt something towards her when I first saw her in the office.
She joined the team during the middle of last year, and she just had everything a man could wish for. A great personality, a great smile, absolutely attractive, pleasant to be around - and most importantly genuine and sincere!
I just hope that all of the above are the real-life traits and not the "front" shown within the office environment. I have experienced the bad side of that before, well the true person came out when I got to know her - and she turned out to not be what I quite expected!
I don't think this is the case at all this time around - but really hope she feels the same mutual feeling with me! Gosh, I feel the shiver down my spine just thinking about it! :)
Valentine's Day - 14 Feb 2007

Well, I decided to make a relatively 'smart' purchase this year, buying a nice bunch of flowers (roses of course) accompanied by a suitable shaped box of chocolates for the lucky lady.
I wonder if she will realise who they could be from - who knows, well that's the fun really isn't it? 8)
.....oh and because I am nuts....

...I also got a nice little teddy bear for her too.....something to squeeze and adore (and one day it could be me!) 8)
She seemed to "like" the gifts
Written by abrigatti on 2007-02-17 18:10:09
Well I've been in 'text' discussions with the special lady (as I've been in Turkey for the 2 days following Valentine's Day).
I think she honestly appreciated the gifts - but it's sooo difficult to really read any signals via text, so I will have to see what she (or I) say on Monday!
Fingers crossed, because I think she is 100% (actually closer to 110%!) worth it!
I've never felt this much about anyone else before (okay maybe a few times before - but this is quite a different feeling I have towards her!)
