Well having come back from my well-deserved break, I am looking upwards and onwards to my next quest.

Ideally, winning the lottery would be a start - but's too easy and actually quite boring (although I wouldn't say no to a few millions - if anyone has got some spare - see the PayPal donation link on the LHS column!).

I am actually looking at overall where I see myself going - and am intending to make some key but radical decisions of my life in the very near future - things covering, residential, vocational and professional are in scope of change. Not sure how many of the changes I am envisaging to make will occur or make it to fruition - but you know what they say about best laid plans and best intentions!

I actually gotta think of some of the comments a few of my work colleagues have made during the last few months - and I am not talking about the plus points as highlighed in my Christmas 2006 letter. Some of the comments have made me think about life in a different way, and with my time to think over the Christmas break, I am also looking as to whether I should be looking at my next role - either internally or externally within AXP. It's not that I do not enjoy what I am doing, but I think there is a lot about the "quality" element which I find lacking in my current team - and this just create a lot of burden on me and my colleagues around me. I know business is all about money, but a lot of things have happened to me during 2006, project-wise (work), personal (privately / family-wise) and also with my "Renault Clio" episodes that making me think that there is more than life than work, work, work!

After all, I have been saving for several years now, and it comes to a stage where I start thinking "you know what, I want to start enjoying life to the full". Well okay, maybe not the full, but at a time when I want to settle down and start thinking about long-term goals and personal achievements - the pressures of work is not high on this agenda! Of the people who left my team or AXP-entirely since I started, I am still in contact with a large number, and the majority are enjoying themselves immensely and experiencing "new things". Maybe this is the time to make a large jump?

Only time will tell!
