On 1st October 2005, it became known as the location of one of two bombs which went off along the restaurants on Muaya Beach. Twenty-three people were killed, including three bombers. A third bomb went off around the same time in central Kuta. We also went on a glass-bottom boat road to see the water's exotic fish and coral, as well as visit the infamous 'Turtle Island'. We visited the Pura Tanah Lot Temple and ate at the Menega Cafe in Jimbaran Bay - which was made famous as being the location of one of the Bali bombings in October 2005 - very sureal! The volcano is located in the eastern side of the island.
