A quick stop-off at the Golden Mount, a nice area that overlooks the Capital. A very nice and peaceful trip...

We visited the Wat Pho - the Temple of the Reclining Buddha - on the west side of Bangkok city. A wonderful site, and we also spent time walking around the ground and temple around the location.

Well we also spent some time walking around the grounds of the Grand Palace - where the King would reside. Very interesting structures and a great site indeed!

A visit to Bangkok wouldn't be the same without a try on the infamous Tuk Tuk's...although these are the motorised versions and are actually classed as "Taxis", but a fun ride all the same...weaving in and around the very clogged roads of the Capital City. We did a 30min ride visiting the Golden Mount, a Jewellery shop and stopped of China Town - all for 20Bhs (that's 50p!)

We visited the Damnoen Saduak (aka Floating Market) about 1hr or so out side of Bangkok. A pleasant trip, though costed us 3000Bhts (60 squid) for an hour and half boat ride...We really just wanted to walk and sense the experience from above (as you know from all of the photos of the floating market), but we ended up experiencing it from a "tourist boat"...grrr...!! Anyway, an experience all the same!
