A supermarket trip during our lunch break one day, enabled us to witness a great sight...3 aisles set aside just for Vodka. Yep 2 aisles full of imports and one for the local Armenian variety...what a sight!

The Russian Old New Year was celebrated in style with fireworks in the Republic Square in Yerevan. We were located in the Marriott hotel and were just settling in with our nightly Amarat Brandy, when we noticed the event happening on our door-step.

So like most Russian's we celebrated NYE twice in 2 weeks :) Happy new year to my Russian friends and one and all (again!)

The snow that started on my last day of work, making me work from home...ho-hum...was tough! The snow continued for about 4-5 days as we headed towards Christmas...but alas, it was still not clasified as a 'White Christmas' on the day that mattered!!

The snow that brought the UK to its knees...well okay just the fact that we pretty much ran out of grit...hey-ho...It's great to be British! We won wars, we won conflicts, but we can't win against the snow :)

NYD can only mean one thing...lets continue where the last year left off...for me that includes yep you've guessed it "Gunness"! New Year Drinks to celebrate surviving the night before!!

Lars' hosted a fantastic New Year's Eve house party to end the "noughties" and a warm welcome to the "tennies" decade! Oh yes what a way. Hope 2010 brings fun and joy to you all - the last year has been a tough one, but hopefully we are through the worst of it...!!

We Jammed-it up at the Jam Club in Middle Street, Brighton. Plenty of drink (no Guinness - ho-hum!), stick-it on DJs, finger food, mad dancing and plenty of laughs...oh and some magic....the only way to do a Chrimbo party! Nicely done folks!

Prior to the bash, I as invited were a few others for an exclusive pre-dinner drinks and dinner meal in Greenwich. We visited the Davys Wine Vaults first for some pre-Dinner Bubbly, and then went off to the Piano Bar, in the North Pole Bar, Greenwich. Luvly meal, great ambience, though no piano - hmmm...

3 reasons for a massive bash...1) Debbie and Sam are off for a 3-mth holiday in no other than Brazil (not jealous at all - honest - well okay a wee bit), 2) Debbie's birthday at the end of December and 3) no other than Christmas 2009!

So I got invited to a dinner and bash at the North Pole Bar in Greenwich. Luvly!

Having graduated in 2002, I knew the IT-job market was tough, so settled for doing some temping in the few months to give me some time to try to find something. I ended up turning from Temp-to-Perm at Preferred Mortgages in Haywards Heath, as a Mortgage Consultant in the Customer Services Dept for 13 months. I left to join Amex, and the company was bought out by Lehman Bros (hmmm), and actually pulled out of the Heath a year or so after I quit!

People in my team had supported this cause for the last couple of years, but this year we managed to get a large group of us together - to grow a Mo...tache...to support Prostate Cancer. 30 days of hard graft...getting itcy, tickly and rather annoying after about 10-12 days, but I stuck it out! Even with 2 Partner Bank meetings, I still made it through the 30 days! Wahoo!

I couldn't leave the 20's without some sort of ceremony...so what better way to spend it with a small group of great friends and some food and drinks...

We met up in the Smugglers, then visited the American Diner on the sea-front, and then headed off for some great food at Strada! Luvly...

Another fantastic event, the weather was cold but cloudless, and the torch-lit street possessions, fireworks and bonfire amazing as ever! Brilliant!

I visited Athens for a Greek Wedding, and decided to take a couple of days off either side, and make a nice long weekend of it! Well needed break!!

Not only did I experience a fabulous Greek Wedding (and my attempt at Greek Dancing - don't ask!), I also had plenty of Drinks with Greek Company, Greek Fun and Relaxation...oh and entered a Greek Riot Zone...hmmm...I walked away from that one though!

Food, more food...and some drinks...but I was driving, so I stayed sober :)

Brighton-town fun...oh yes...it was...

This was the third cricket match this year that my team participated in...2 of which I joined. There was an internal Brighton office competition - competition is healthy after all - and then we opened it up to a London versus Brighton match ... similar to the pride we get when we play them at Footie...btw: we won 2 of the 3 games of cricket - including this one! :)

A couple of cocktails down Hove-Town...relaxing way to spend the Bank Holiday Monday. Nice!

Lars Birthday celebration was located in the Brighton area - we went to a Fiddlers Pub and ten onwards to the Coach House - luvly!

A fun day down Brighton catching up (including drinks of course!) with some great ex-Uni mates, and a special session at the end...aka more fun and games...oh and more Guinness (of course!) :)
