Little India – Dinner Time!

It’s Thursday and we were hungry, so we walked from Marina Bay Sands to the Raffles Place MRT.  We took the MRT to Little India – via our regular interchange at Douby Guaut (the one where it takes a 5-10 minute walk to change MRT lines!  Not good when you have done lots of walking already – ha!).

Once we arrived at Little India, we started to look for one of the infamous food courts (hawker stalls), and we noticed that there was one nearby to the MRT, called Tekka Market Hawker Centre.  We decided to walk around the Food Court and see whether we found something we liked, if not we would continue to venture somewhere else.

And we found it at Tekka Market, the Nasi Biyani Special – for S$8 and a $1 Sugar-Cane drink – a bargain methinks!

We went on to walk around Little India, and noticed that the banners were already promoting the Deepavali (Diwali) Festival of Light, which is scheduled for 26th October 2011 – coincidently that’s the day of my Birthday (just remember to send your pressies to me via Singapore this year 🙂 Ha!)
