The apartment company decided to schedule a Cocktail Party and invited the “long-staying” guests (that’s tenure not age!) for a drink or two and some nibbles on Thursday, 28th July.
It was a good session, and I got chatting to a nice couple who have been here for just over 6 weeks. They come from Houston, Texas, and are here for a similar period of time, leaving in December. It was good chatting to a friendly couple, I hope that they didn’t mind my company – they didn’t seem too! No doubt we will try to grab a drink at some point in any case.
It is good meeting up with people in a similar situation, that are outside of Amex – great conversation, great understanding. Oh and the wine was quite nice too! Ha!
