Lot 10 Hutong Food Court
Some time in 2010, Lot 10 Hutong (food court) became a speciality in the food court business.
The people from YTL (who owns Lot 10, Starhill, and others) managed to convince some of the best hawker foods around KL to operate at the once iconic mall’s basement, whilst keeping with the traditional ways of the eating establishments. We were recommended to give it a go, so last Sunday we did (as if it was a hard decision – ha!)!
Lot 10 Food Court bring together the best of the Kuala Lumpur food stalls into one place, and what do you get? An amazing eating experience, with great atmosphere and ambience – whilst still keeping the true traditions of the ingredients, preparation and cooking of the fine cuisine! 🙂 So we were invited for a meal at this fine establishment, and subsequently went back a few days later on our own!
Soong Kee @ Lot 10
The key recommendation to try was Soong Kee and their infamous Beef Noodles, where a meal-set of Beef Ball with Soup + Beef Noodles + Vegetable goes for only RM 9.00 (including Tax). For KL pricing that’s practically a steal, and this is in a fully air conditioned and comfortable dining location. It’s a renowned speciality and Lot 10 is the place to be right in the centre of the city.

Ice Kacang @ Oriental Dessert
But it doesn’t stop there, we were also keen to keep cool, as the warmth was starting to get to us, so what better way to relax with a fantastic local dessert. Ice Kacang is a MUST to try out at the Oriental Dessert because of the VERY SMOOTH ice! and they are generous with the ingredients such as peanuts, cendol, red beans etc – refreshing and delicious 🙂
