Jeggi Indian Restaurant – Finger Food :)

Well during Raffi’s leaving session, we decided to go for one of the last meals at Jaggi’s – which is down Race Course Road – a road running parallel to the Little India’s infamous Serangoon Road in Singapore.

Raffi had done quite a bit of research and suggested a few places along Race Course Road, so we decided to start just near to Farrer Park MRT and walked down Race Course Road towards Little India MRT, we stopped and looked at the Menu at one of them – this was was called Delhi Restaurant – it looked pretty nice, and if I remember correctly, the dishes were mainly from North of India – the chap at the door was very nice, and helped us by explaining the types of dishes on offer.

We decided to walk on and took the business card of the place, we went on a noticed a few others further down, and then we saw Jaggi’s Restaurant.  This was actually an intriguing place – it looked more of a Café Restaurant, but there was a charm about the place, so we decided to go for a dish here, and then head back to one of the other places for the next course of our meal.  Well THAT was the plan – and you know what happens when one plans for something!  Ha!

So we went in, and decided to looked at the array on offer.  We basically order a la carte from the dishes on display and then we decided to share.  We had two types of naan break (Butter Naan and Kashmiri Naan), two types of rice (Boiled and Pulao), mixed Chicken Tikka Tandoori, a couple of other meat choices (Butter Chicken and Mutton Curry) – and then we decided to tuck in (oh – I almost forgot, we topped this off with Kingfisher Lager 🙂 ).  The best way to eat these sort of dishes – by hand, and this is what we did.  I just had to be very careful, as I had my work attire on 🙂

It was very delicious – and I must admit the hand-cultery approach seemed to really make the moment far more enjoyable.  It cost just over S$35 (that’s almost £18) for the two of us – that’s not that bad at all!
