Well what does Blarney’s in Sail @ Marina Bay, Burger King @ Clarke Quay and 1-Altitude have in common? Well that’s exactly the route I took on Friday – where the drinkies flowed 🙂 Ha!
I invited a few people for Friday after-work drinks, and I found that although most people wanted to participate, everyone was either knackered from a busy week or were still working late. So it ended up being 3 people who joined me for the drinks. We stayed and chatted at Blarney’s Irish Pub for a few drinks – yes a few! I ordered some pizza – because I was starving – although they are brilliant, they served there purpose!
After about a couple of hours, the two of us that was left went off to Circular Road (behind Boat Quay), it was a nice walk as it was good seeing the ‘other’ side of Boat Quay, actually I preferred this part, because the bars and clubs look much more appealing! We then went on to Clarke Quay, and decided to go to the Burger King there. No not for the Burger’s but you can actually get beers at this one! Yup they had a Beer fridge next to the counter – the first Burger King I’ve been too with this ‘feature’ – nice! We had a Tiger Can and relaxed in the nice and relaxing setting and continued chatting.

I then received a Text Message from another work colleague who was celebrating in 1-Altitude, so I left Clarke Quay, and headed back towards Raffles Place. It was S$20 to get in, but you get a drink – so i chose Johnny Walker + Coke – nice! I only had time for a quick one, as the others were preparing to leave for some Bollywood Dancing, so I joined them for that too 🙂 Good company, good fun!
We went to Moshi Moshi Bollywood which is a club down from Orchard Road, it was an interesting place – think bar-turn-Bollywood-themed dance venue- and I must admit it was quite an enjoyable experience. The irony is that most of the dancers were Western, or Middle-Eastern, but it was a very enjoyable experience. It was actually a very good show indeed.
Luckily for me, it’s just a short walk home to my apartment from here 🙂
