Holiday – Koh Samui – Yay!

My ending return flight to the UK was originally scheduled for 21st December, as I wanted to ensure that I had a flight booked upbefore Christmas (in case they get booked up due to the holiday season).  The intention was to then spend Christmas and New Year in the UK with family and friends.

After further thought, I said that I should stay out and spend Chrimbo over this side of the world, so I openen my options up on dates and venues.  Unfortunately, I was restricted to leave Singapore before 31st December, due to Visa and Tax constraints, but I knew I could spend a week somewhere nice, and return to Singapore to collect the rest of my luggage before I headed back to the UK.

I was suggested to go to Koh Samui – an island to the East-side of Thailand, and so I duly booked this up.  It was actually quite easy to get too, as Bangkok Airways goes directly there from Singapore – although the air fares were a bit pricey, I decided that it was worth a trip.  I looked at a couple of hotel and price comparison sites and found one placed that looked pretty nice.  I hope it turns out to be a wicked place, as it was just off Lamai Beach – which is one of the beaches that were meant to be the best on the island.

So flight and accomodation booked, and my holiday booked off work, I think I’m ready to have a relaxing one.  So whilst you will all be tucking into your Christmas Turkey with all of the trimmings and of course topped off with the Christmas Pudding and Brandy Butter, I will probably go with a Thai Curry over looking the beach – ha 🙂
