Rush Movie – Fantastic

This evening, I decided to go with a mate to watch Rush. It is quite an intriguing movie, telling the life of the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda, the legendary race drivers.

It also was good to see the changes made to the Formula 1 cars, including the safety measures that we see in the modern day, versus the lethal machines that existed in the 70’s and 80’s!

An fun movie and truly inspirational! 🙂

New Iron but no New New Iron Board

The joys of my Singapore life. I decided to buy a new iron, as the one I previously had wasn’t up to the job…eg of trying to iron my shirts properly. It seemed to be too light, so really wasn’t pressing the shirts properly. Also, I suffered from a burnt ironing board cover, which meant the plate had some of the remnants, which occasionally came off on a shirt – grrr!!!

So I invested in a brand new Electrolux one, it cost around S$195, and it looked and felt a lot better. I also brought a new iron board cover, hopefully one that will not ‘melt’ – which is not much to ask for for an iron board cover :). Haha!

I know I should get around to buy a new iron board itself at some point, but it will do for the moment.

Now the biggest question of all is whether I should bite the bullet and get a maid to come every couple of weeks to do the cleaning and ironing. Almost tempted :). Lets see how I feel in a few more months, maybe I should just sort it out for the new year… Would save me a few hours, and my place will simply look and feel a lot cleaner…

Team Build @ The Aquarium Resorts World Sentosa

Well I am so glad that the world of Team Builds still exists – it is a great way to get to know your team better…and also have a bit of reflection on the year gone by and the expectations on what we can do better for the year ahead.

So we had a 3-day meeting, followed by a trip to the Aquarium at the Resorts World Sentosa – I always wanted to go, so finally managed too.

Aquarium Singapore

Aquarium Singapore

As you can see from the below, it was a great trip, definitely worth a visit when you are in Sentosa…

The best thing about this place is that it is meant to have the largest acrylic aquarium display – according to the Guinness Book of Records – so it was a great opportunity to see it in all its glory.

I am always a bit apprehensive about whether they can pull off something like an aquarium – and still make it feel and look natural, and I must admit, I think they did it well!

…And what happens after a long day at the Aquarium, well a fish dinner with the team. Very delicious and delightful – and more importantly, very filling 🙂
