Nan Hwa Chong Fish Head Steamboat Dinner (6th Oct)

Another day, another dinner! I was recommended to visit this fine fish head steamboat, just off North Bridge Road, so I did with the G/F. It was certainly a great find – and I do appreciate the g/f recommendation of this fine eating establishment.

It was a nice area, we went into the air-con first floor, which was actually very nice – and we ordered a few dishes – we decided to go with the Grouper steamboat, sweet and sour pork ribs, a vegetable dish and some rice. It was very very tasty – although it was hot hot hot as they served the steam boat. There was quite a bit of fish meat, and actually felt we had ordered just enough to enjoy the meal properly.

The total was amazingly for this quality of food – the whole meal came to $65.30 (that’s just over £30 – or £15 per head!) – not mad at all! I definitely would come again 🙂

Crab in the Bag – Dan’s Birthday Dinner (13th Sept)

What a nice place to enjoy a dinner meal with a difference. I’ve heard of this place, but never been here before – so when I arrived at East Coast Parkway, at the Big Splash.

It was a great concept – it all starts with them preparing your table with a paper table cloth…but the twist is that they don’t provide any cutlery or plates. What you actually do is order Fish et Co in a Bucket…and they then serve it in the same bucket, and they then tip the contents (luckily, cooked!) onto the table top for you all to tuck in. Sauces and other sides are then delivered in little disposable cups.

Team Build @ The Aquarium Resorts World Sentosa

Well I am so glad that the world of Team Builds still exists – it is a great way to get to know your team better…and also have a bit of reflection on the year gone by and the expectations on what we can do better for the year ahead.

So we had a 3-day meeting, followed by a trip to the Aquarium at the Resorts World Sentosa – I always wanted to go, so finally managed too.

Aquarium Singapore

As you can see from the below, it was a great trip, definitely worth a visit when you are in Sentosa…

The best thing about this place is that it is meant to have the largest acrylic aquarium display – according to the Guinness Book of Records – so it was a great opportunity to see it in all its glory.

I am always a bit apprehensive about whether they can pull off something like an aquarium – and still make it feel and look natural, and I must admit, I think they did it well!

…And what happens after a long day at the Aquarium, well a fish dinner with the team. Very delicious and delightful – and more importantly, very filling 🙂
